Visual Asset and Mobile PacMan Highlighted in Boston 150 150 ScanOnline

(Boston) – The Hynes Convention Center plays host to two of ScanOnline’s software offerings in Visual Asset and Mobile PacMan in downtown Boston.  Campus Technology 2014, presented by 1105 Media, is going on its 21st year as a premier conference and expo event featuring top innovations and future movements in technology found in colleges/higher education nationwide.  The event schedule runs from July 28th to July 30th.

To note, ScanOnline takes to Boston the second coming of their asset management program Scan Asset, in the form of Visual Asset, for it’s first public display at expo.

Visual Asset is a comprehensive, mobile asset management program, geared for use in colleges and universities that have multiple assets in circulation for use at one time.  With physical campus sizes and student enrollments on the rise, spreading out assets and managing their life-cycles has become a must.  The challenge for many institutions has been with competing against other colleges in providing cutting edge education resources within tight budgets.

The software provides audit-ready statistics for users at their convenience, which makes Visual Asset a critical component for future funding and the business behind education.

In addition to Visual Asset being on display, Mobile PacMan, ScanOnline’s internal package handling solution, also will be featured.

Mobile PacMan was developed to provide a way for institutions to track inbound package receipts. Many colleges receive packages from major carriers at one receiving point and then distribute these packages to different locations throughout their campus.  This creates the need for internal package tracking.

Mobile PacMan seamlessly automates the processes of receiving, staging and delivering packages wirelessly from mobile units and the web, for a more accountable, holistic approach, to getting internal package deliveries to their final destination.
